Arte Soleil is a creative arts market and studio nestled in East Portland. Founded in 2017 by art therapist and advocate Kris Bella and singer-songwriter Pete Fennell, this vibrant space now supports more than 50 local artists. Join them on Saturday, Aug 16 (12pm-5pm) for the Arts Alive and enjoy a day of celebrating community arts together.

How was Arte Soleil founded?

Driven by the shared passion for the arts and the creative process, Kris and Pete envisioned a space where East Portland's artists, artisans, and creatives could gather to connect, collaborate, and showcase their remarkable work, all while enriching the local culture and enhancing livability.

What can people expect when they come to Arte Soleil?

Arte Soleil is an art hub committed to supporting local talent. We offer an inclusive, safe, and inspiring space for aspiring and experienced creatives, artisans, and artists to be. Here, you can create, learn, teach, and sell your work through our consignment shop. Come spend time with us – take a class, find a one-of-a-kind gift, or simply enjoy a cup of coffee while dreaming up your next project.

What is your favorite way to give back to the community?

Arte Soleil provides art therapy to individuals and the wider community in the Portland metro area. This therapeutic process is a mental health approach that enhances the well-being of individuals, families, and communities. It does so through active art creation, engagement with the creative process, application of psychological theory, and the exploration of human experience.
