What was the one thing that really pushed you to open Tracee’s House of Whatever?
Tracee: More than anything, I wanted to create a community—a place where people could connect, laugh, and find joy in the little things. Paired with my love of quirky, nostalgic, and Portland-made gifts, and Tracee’s House of Whatever was born.
How has your community shown up for your business?
Tracee: The support has been incredible! Locals and tourists alike have made us their go-to spot for last-minute gifts, and we love seeing people discover something fun and memorable every time they visit.
If you were to share a piece of advice for someone considering starting their own business, what would it be?
Tracee: Follow your passion, make it your own, and lean on your community. Being adaptable and connecting with people are the keys to making your vision thrive.
With the holiday shopping season coming up, what should customers look forward to at Tracee’s?
Tracee: We’ve got something for everyone—nostalgic gifts, toys, Portland-made goodies, ready-to-go gift bags and cards, and great stocking stuffers for all ages. Plus, keep an eye out for our upcoming puzzles—they’ll make the season even more fun!
